Bronchitis symptoms
Bronchitis is an inflammation of bronchial tubes which in overwhelming majority of cases is connected with an infection. Basic symptom – is cough. It can be dry (i.e. without sputum) and productive (with sputum). When cough is productive it plays a protective role: sputum removal together with microorganisms which caused an inflammation, bronchial tubes clearing, providing access of air. Dry cough is connected with very dense sputum which cannot be coughed up or with no any sputum at all, but with only a thickening of trachea mucous membrane and/or of bronchial tubes and its irritation by an inflammatory process, which stimulates cough reflex.
