High cholesterol

CHOLESTEROL – is a lipoid which on 2/3 is produced by liver, and on the remained third is received from food. It serves as one of the basic building materials of an organism, being a part of cell walls, neural tissue, and also hormones and vitamin D. Once you slightly exceed the normal level the formed surpluses of cholesterol start damaging vascular walls —aorta and arteries feeding heart and brain, abdominal cavity’s organs, kidneys and feet.  Fatty stripes gradually thicken; turn to plaques, narrowing arteries.  Over time cholesteric plaque calcifies, inflames, sometimes breaks apart, and forms a clot.  When condensing and expanding, this clot corks a vessel off.  Thrombosis’s results are — heart attack, stroke, partial heart’s or brain’s necrosis.
